Artist Statement

Northern Ontario has a quiet kind of magic that is vast, untamed, and endlessly restorative. It’s a place where time slows down, and moments of stillness become profound.

I spend much of my time there alone, hiking, camping, and photographing in silence. Solitude allows me to see and feel more deeply: the scent of pine after rain, the mist lifting off a lake at sunrise, and the sound of water moving through rock. These moments invite reflection and connection.

To me, a sense of wonder is about awareness. It’s about being present enough to notice what’s extraordinary in the ordinary.

These photographs are an expression of that experience: quiet encounters with light, landscape, and the feeling of belonging to something greater than yourself.
